My Ambition

Dreams are always meant to be a dream. Jay Gatsby’s ambition was to get Daisy to leave Tom Buchanan and be with him. The ironic part of the book, The Great Gatsby, is that Jay Gatsby dies instead of being with his love, Daisy. My ambition is to become a nurse, I have to achieve my dream by doing many things or I won’t be able to succeed.
Why do I want to become a nurse? I think becoming a nurse would be a great job for me because it relates to my life and I like to help others. To become a nurse I have to do many things to achieve this dream, but it won’t be easy. I want to achieve this ambition because I am friendly, respectful, and I care about others. Hospitals need a person like me that likes to help and care for their patients. Hopefully, with my help, the hospital could become the best out of them all.
I’ve been working hard to achieve my ambition, working hard in school so I could go to college and achieve my dream. I give up my free time to study instead of being with my friends. I even went out to volunteer, taking care of elders and passing out food for them. I was happy working with my group members and the elders. Seeing them happy, made me happy also.
I’m trying to get into UCSF and major my ambition. I feel responsible and accomplished to have this ambition. I could build my personality being able to take care of others, other than myself. I have to take four years of community college to get into UCSF, after that I have to take a placement test. While waiting for the results, I would like to collect information from different hospitals about the different job opportunities they have for me. My ambition is really important to me because in this world, that are many people struggling and injured needing help. I would like to be the one to help them with their difficulties.
I have been doing online research and checking which hospitals that are lacking nurses. I would like to go there to work as a volunteer and support the people that are struggling to fight their illness. I like to help people, even if I don’t know them, I will try my best to help them. College is expensive, but I will work hard and part time, to pay off my college bills. I won’t let anything or anyone stop me from achieving my dream, I will fight for it. There is always a way to solve a problem, I will never give up my dream because it is really important to me, being able to help others.
I will work two times harder than other people and I will never give up. Even if I fail the placement test, I will take it over and over until I pass, get into the best college and get the education I need to succeed. Then I could use what I have learned in school and use my knowledge for the people that needs support. I believe in myself and that I will achieve my ambition. I will do better in school, get good grades and get into a good college that could teach me everything I need to know.
I believe that I will accomplish my ambition, but I just have to work harder and not do stupid things that I have done in the past. With the support from my family and friends, I can show them I can succeed and have a bright future.
